Understanding The Carpet Cleaning Concept In A Few Easy Steps

By Nilson Lana First, what to say about carpet; it depends on softness, feeling touch, freshness, free of bacteria and dirt, and must look nice and even. How can you get all of that? Keeping your carpet clean all the time (we say that carpet should be cleaned at least once a month). Most people say that cleaning the carpet every month can cost you tons of dollars and can even damage the carpet, listen, this is not right. Cleaning your carpet more often will prolong the life of the carpet and will make your indoor life healthier, and best of all, it doesnt need to be expensive, we all know about the concept of Do it yourself dont we? So, why you can not do it yourself than, oh, you dont know how, no worries, if you keep following me with my articles, you will see that carpet cleaning is not that hard and you can save a lot of money and have some fun doing it. Now, let me tell you the different processes we have to clean carpet: - Shampoo and Extraction. - Pre-spray and Extraction. - Dry Cleaning. - Foam Cleaning. - Ozone Cleaning. Some cleaning methods like Shampoo and Extraction, Foam Cleaning, and Ozone Cleaning were designed for the professional people because they need some specialty machines and chemicals but, the method considered the most expensive (the dry cleaning process) can be easily done by yourself. It involves no special equipment and no special training (probably this is something that no cleaning companies want you to know). In my next article I will tell you how to Dry Clean your home carpet in 4 easy steps, and be very happy with the results. For now, I just want to point out a few things you can do to make your carpet looks better and clean: 1- Vacuuming the traffic areas once a day with the entire carpeted areas done once a week. 2- Install some walk-off-mats on all doorways leading to outside the house like main entrance, balconies, backdoor, etc, and put one by your kitchen sink as well. 3- Remove spots from the carpet as soon as they appear, have a Carpet Spotting Kit handy. 4- Avoid walking on carpet with shoes, especially on rainy days. This few steps should help you in keeping your carpet cleaned for longer. In the future articles we will be talking about pet stain removal and some other hard to remove spots, in the mean time if you have any questions, you can follow them to feedback@idoclean.com Just remember, keep checking my articles for great news about how to maintain your carpet cleaned and fresh all the time without spending lots of cash and if you need carpet and furniture cleaning products and supplies, log on to www.idoclean.com and have fun buying them. Great Holiday Crafts for Kids

By Jen S Carter Im sure your kids are as excited as mine are about the upcoming holidays. Each year I take the time to do a special holiday craft with my children. Here are two that we enjoyed in the past. Holiday Lake Cake Youll need: a tray or heavy cardboard, light cardboard, a flat cake, foil, lots of white frosting, a pencil and scissors, 3 large marshmallows, small, round colorful candies, a small candy cane, 3 conical (sugar) ice cream cones, solid color candy sticks, Life Savers, and gumdrops (especially yellow and green), small plastic figures of people (optional). Find a large tray or cover a heavy piece of cardboard with foil. Make a large, flat cake to place on it. Have your child draw and cut out a wavy circle from cardboard about 1/3 the size of the cake. Cover it with foil, shiny side up and place it in the middle of the cake. This is the holiday lake. Help your child frost all around the lake and down the sides of the cake with store-bought or homemade white frosting. Make it billowy so it looks like snow. Put a few spots of frosting on the lake. Use 3 large marshmallows to make a snowman. They can be stuck together with frosting. Use small candies for eyes, mouth, and buttons. Give him a candy cane to hold. Put him near one end of the cake. Frost 3 sugar ice cream cones with green-tinted frosting. Put them upside down at the other end of the cake for trees. Put straight, candy sticks (solid color ones) into life savers (for a base) and scatter them around the cake for lights. Put yellow gumdrops on top for the lights. Use green gumdrops for bushes. Add plastic figures of people in the snow and on the lake. Enjoy your holiday craft! North Pole Christmas Tree Ornament Youll need (for each ornament): a tongue depressor, red and white craft paint, painters tape (1 wide), small foam paint brushes, heavy white cardboard or a white index card, a black felt pen, red and green construction paper, glue, a small amount of red, white, green, or black yarn, scissors, and a pencil. Paint the tongue depressor white. Let it dry. Put strips of the tape across the tongue depressor leaving strips of white showing. Paint the stripes red. Let them dry. Remove the tape. Glue the ends of a piece of yarn (3) to the top back of the tongue depressor to hang the ornament by. Draw a rectangle (1 by 3) on the cardboard with one pointed end. Cut it out. Neatly write North Pole on it. Trace the words with the black felt pen. Glue the sign to the tongue depressor about 1/3 of the way from the top. Draw 3 red circles for berries on the red construction paper and 2 green leaves on the green construction paper and cut them out. Glue under the North Pole sign to look like holly. Your North Pole Christmas Tree Ornament is complete! Take time this year to make a special Christmas or holiday craft with your child! White Sun - Life of Lao Tzu

By Teow Aun Chew The life of Lao Tzu is a mysterious one. His last name is “Li” and his first name is “Er”. “Bo-yang” is his courtesy name and “Dan” as his posthumous title. He was born in 571 BC during the time of King Ding of Zhou Dynasty in Chen County, State of Chu. He served as the Custodian of the Imperial Archives for King Ding. His father had a family name of Han and the first name Qian, with Yuan-bi as his courtesy name. His mother’s name was Jing-fu. His mysterious birth stated that his mother was pregnant for eighty years and he was born under a plum tree. Thus Lao Tzu adopted the Chinese character for plum (pronounced as Li) as his surname. He is the first scholar to inherit the heritage of Tao and then he passed it to Confucius. After transmitting the essence of Tao to Confucius, he rode a green ox and went to the west through Fort Han-gu. He enlightened the King Yin-xi in the west. His teaching emphasizes on distancing emotions and desires and maintain one’s True Nature. By excluding all images in the material world, his way of reaching the Void (Heaven of Truth) is from the Heaven of Spirit. When the True Fire and True Water inside the body become complementary, the process of refinement will give birth to the immortal embryo. He wrote “Tao Te Ching” and “Qing-jing Ching, also known as Ch’ing-ching Ching” to teach people. He is greatly respected as the founder of Taoism. For ages, the Chinese general belief has been that man must show that he is strong and not pliant; smart and not dull. But Lao Tzu came and said that man must show pliant and not tough. Man must have no motives and desires; be selfless, pure-minded and natural. He is strongly against materialism and advocates a life of natural goodness. Realizing that the Zhou’s reign was disintegrating, he left Luoyang and went west through the Han Gu Pass. The keeper of the pass, Lin Yinxi, when met Lao Tzu at the pass, requested Lao Tzu to please write something to give him guidance. So Lao Tzu wrote a book made up of two parts, consisting of about 5,000 characters. Upon completing the book, Lao Tzu left and nobody knew where he went after that. The book is called Tao Te Ching. My Heavenly Master JiGong said, “The books that you are reading (including Tao Te Ching) now are created by ancient people. Then the books that were created and handed down to you by the ancient people are actually telling you a road and a path for learning. Every matter must have its Truth and principle, and they must have its longitudes and latitudes (rules and norms).” Author: T.A Chew T.A Chew, in 1994 was told by a deity “blood brother of Lao Tzu” that Maitreya Buddha needs him to carry out a great mission in 12 years time, that is year 2006. Recalling this incident, it must be the propagation of Tao through the internet to reach out to millions. The Ugly Face Of Quick Weight Loss

By Nathalie Fiset The number of people who are becoming obeseespecially in the United Statesare increasing as years go by. Due to this trend, products and programs that offer weight loss solutions have emerged in the market today. If you visit supermarkets, drugstores, or even websites, you might notice that the most common weight loss products there are include diet pillsboth prescribed and non-prescribedand food or dietary supplements. Since losing weight has become tiresome and frustrating to most people, they tend to resort to these products that can help them lose weight, safe, fast, and easy. But are these quick weight loss products effective to permanent and healthy weight loss? WEIGHING DISADVANTAGES OVER ADVANTAGES Believing that weight loss products today are safe to use because they are often based in natural and organic ingredients, most obese or morbidly obese people take these to lose weight quickly. Although using these products, as a means of losing weight quickly might be convenient, hassle-free, and easy, its effectivity and safety are not always determined or guaranteed. According to experts, people who are thinking of having quick weight loss and fad diets should think twice before they try taking in any product or engaging into diets. This is because having quick weight loss can be harmful and can severely damage a persons body. Aside from creating a yo-yo syndrome or inconstant weight losing patterns, engaging in quick weight loss may bring about greater health problems in the future. Although quick weight loss diets can help you achieve you short-term goals, it cannot permanently help you achieve long-term goals of losing weight. Unlike quick weight loss alternatives, choosing gradual weight lossby consulting a registered dieticiancan provide you professional help and can provide you proven eating choices and patterns that can help you develop the discipline you need in order to lose weight in the long run. You can also learn specific diet recommendations that are suited for your needs if you opt not to engage in quick weight loss alternatives. Although most people day that quick weight loss by using alternatives can speed up a persons weight loss, more and more nutritionists and physicians discourage quick weight lossby any meansbecause it is not healthy for the body for it may cause extreme physical discomfort like abdominal pains, flatulence and may even lead to more serious illness. Based on numerous health researches, quick weight lossachieved through improper dietoveremphasizes a particular food type. By excluding a specific food group or a variety of foods, quick weight loss diets violate the primary rule of good nutritionthat is having balanced diet. Sticking to any quick weight loss diet that veers away from having a balanced diet can cause you nutritional deficiencies not to mention several physical discomforts and minor illnesses. Aside from violating the basic principle of good nutrition, quick weight loss diets also breaks the second significant rule, that is enjoyable eating. THE BEST WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT Experts advise that quick weight losseither by diets or taking in productsgreatly affects a persons total well-being. Aside from altering a persons basic eating patterns by drastic eating schedules, quick weight loss can even result to more serious health risks if a wrong product is taken. Instead of achieving quick weight loss through improper diet or unsafe weight loss products, authorities in the health and nutrition world advice people who would want to lose weight to stick to the best way of losing unwanted fatsthat is to eat balanced diet. Eating a balanced dietwhich include foods that rich is nutrients like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and fat-free or low-fat dairy productscan help the reduction of weight greatly. Coupled with regular physical activities or exercises that improves cardiovascular health, theres no way that you cannot lose weight in time. Money and Overweight

By Waheed Elqalatawy What is the relation between money and overweight?. Does any one plan to gain weight?. Can weight be gained by swallowing air?. The answers of these questions pour in the stream of understanding the extent of our control over our body weight. Overweight is derived from food we eat, and certainly-unless underweight- nobody plans to gain weight, then how overweight is affected by money?. In our present life style, the majority of people working 9-4 jobs are away from their home for long hours, and when their bodies need to replenish their energy, they think about getting some food (fast). Thinking about the traits of this food is controlled by its place in their lives. It is needed to keep them working, and the revenue of this work should be kept for the bills, and most of the spare should be kept for their personal motivation. Hence this food should supply sufficient energy at the least cost, and if it infers some personal motivations (taste,brand..etc), it is OK. The fast food manufacturer companies know these favored traits and more In producing fast foods, the companies consider the consumer needs as a competitive asset, yet they put cost as a necessity for existence. Thus, there is a logic agreement between the consumer and the food companies to trade money. Consumer says “Give me the necessary energy for a small portion of my money”, and the company- in a competition for a share in a 140$ billion market in US alone- says”Take the most delicious sufficient energy for the least portion of your money”. To achieve these goals, the manufacturer companies adopt a high degree of “food engineering” that uses additives and processing techniques that substantially alters the properties of raw materials so as to achieve a certain flavor or consistency and to preserve freshness. Competition forced companies to offer advantages and the primary “benefit” was calorie/dollar content. Some meals composed of a sandwich and a milk shake contains about 1000Kcal which is equal to 1/2 the calorie amount needed by a 70 KiloGrams man for 24 hours. There are less calorie content meals, yet they may lead to some sort of duplication. The market size and the high demand recall advertisement with its inevitable role in increasing market size. We can not blame neither the consumer nor the producer, both obey natural laws. Yet, more efforts required by scientific, social and industrial bodies to participate in solving the problem of overweight. Beautiful Cheap Wedding Centerpiece Ideas Without The Flowers

By Suzanne Daykin Creating or designing a cheap wedding centerpiece is an area where your personality can shine through. Don’t feel you have to have a traditional floral arrangement to decorate your tables, although it is an easy choice if your time is limited. As with all wedding planning the best way to get cheap wedding centerpiece ideas is to collect lots of pictures of what you like the look of, think about the mood that you want to create and your theme - colour or place. Putting some height in your centerpiece will add to the look of the whole room, just remember to think about the people sitting at the table - you don’t want them not to see anyone else on the table as they will end up getting moved - which after all your time and effort you definately don’t want. The key to saving money on your centerpieces is to shop around for the parts that will make the whole. Cheap wedding candle centerpieces are popular, make sure you check with your wedding venue as to whether they allow candles. A great way to have an expensive look without it costing the earth is to place your candles on a mirror tile which you can buy from any DIY store. Different height pillar candles will make it look interesting and you could then scatter petals or confetti. Glass bowls filled with water with floating candles is a simple but effective idea. You can then add extras to the bowl in the form of glass beads to match your colour, or shells or flowers or petals - the list is endless! I know of one couple who used pebbles from the beach where the husband proposed. Remember to avoid scented candles during the wedding breakfast as these could detract from the food and wine. Classic candelabras would add a traditional look and you may find that the venue you are using already has these that you could use at no extra cost, you could then add your own touches with ivy, which symbolises wedded bliss, or coloured ribbon. A sweet centerpiece idea is to use photographs of yourselves either from now or early in your relationship. Each table could be different and you could include pictures of those at the table, this could also help as an ice breaker if you have tables of mixed friends or relatives. Or you could frame a love poem or a special phrase. Hope this helps for inspiration! Your Unique Marketing Message - Tips from Obama’s “Keeper of the Message”

By Karin Witzig Meet David Axelrod: The man behind Barack Obamas unique presidential campaign message. Whats so unique about it? Its cutting through the political noise, getting heard around the nation and inspiring people to act. Voters have grown numb from too many unmet promises, integrity questioning scandals and slanderous rants. The American people have tuned out this noise, lost confidence in their political leaders and worse, in their own ability to cause change. The same is true in the health and healing arts field. Diet after diet and one self-help guru after another has left Americans confused and defeated by the countless failures to make any of the plans work in their life. And like Obama, as a professional in your field, your message must also cut through the mind-numbing hype in order to be heard. And thats just the first step. Once youve got their attention, you have to be able to back up what you stand for. So, what can we learn from one of the big dogs of message crafting? In a behind-the-scenes interview in this Sundays New York Times Magazine written by Ben Wallace-Wells, Axelrod describes himself not as Obamas chief political and media advisor but as keeper of the message. Lets go to school. Lesson 1: Authenticity is how you cut through. Axelrod has been piecing together 15 years of footage of Obamas political life. Most of the raw videotape he has is the banal, worn imagery of politics Obama speaking from a podium, with the familiar, angled hand gestures, or seated and listening intently, elbows on knees. There was a clip he found from Obamas 2004 Senate campaign when the candidate told them about his work in the early 1990s as a community organizer, there was a spontaneous, sustained applause. Axelrod says, You know, we hadnt thought that was an important part of his bio, but people really responded to the fact that Barack gave up corporate job offers to work in the community. In an industry where the customer, in this case voters, are numb to uber polished political performers and slick messages, this peek into Obamas community values hits home. Its refreshing and real. How can you be more authentic in your message? What aspects of your personality, values and background could add meaning and depth to how you present yourself? What is different and new about you and your approach to your work? Be willing to drop the sage on the stage vibe and get real with your audience. Lesson 2: Tell me a story. Axelrod says that the way to cut through all the noise is to see campaigns as an author might, to understand that you need not just ideas but also a credible and authentic character, distinct politics rooted in personality. One of the reasons Bush has succeeded in two elections,” Axelrod says, is that in his own rough-hewn way, he has conveyed a sense of this is who I am, warts and all. An important question to answer in your marketing is, Why are you doing this? This adds a good dose of the critical know, like and trust factor. Did you overcome your own health concerns? Were you affected by the traditional medical system in a way that left you wanting something different or more effective? Did something happen to you that left you changed and inspired to do this work? Tell your potential clients a compelling story and people will listen. Lesson 3: Drop the formulaic campaigns that your competitors are using. After the consecutive presidential losses of Al Gore and John Kerry, patrician candidates who ran ill-fitting ‘people versus the powerful’ campaigns designed for them, [rather than as a reflection of who they were] many Democrats began to suspect the part of what was wrong with the party was its formulaic consultants. The party has suffered,” Axelrod says, “from a Wizard of Oz syndrome among Washington political consultants who tend to come to candidates and say: ‘I have the stone tablets! You do what I say, and you will get elected.’ And they fit their candidates into their rubric. Pricing, marketing and presenting your services like everyone else in your field only serves to make you blend in. Dont try to fit in, fit out. When youre willing to take a stand for what you want to bring to the world, you become very attractive to clients that truly value who you are and what youre here to do. Lesson 4: Get endorsements. According to Axelrod, when youre breaking barriers and asking voters to do something they havent done before vote for an African-American for governor, senator or president its very helpful to have third party authentification, newspaper endorsements or institutional support, to encourage them to go there. You can do the same. Client testimonials that represent the results you offer, articles published in local and national publications, corporate endorsements and a written vote of confidence from a former instructor or director of your alma mater, or well-known advisor all serve to encourage your potential clients to take a chance on your approach. In the health & healing arts, you are up against your clients long history of failing to consistentently self-care. Endorsements can tip the scale in your favor. Lesson 5: Create a movement. Obamas campaign message reflects and embraces the constant attention paid to the historic nature of the candidacy itself. And not by apologizing for it or ignoring it. Instead, author Wallace-Welles writes, the message is shared through the optimism, the constant presence of the candidates biography, the combination of crusading message of reform with the candidates natural pragmatism, the insistence that normal political categories do not apply, the use of the symbolism that accompanies the candidates race. Is your target audience tired of the traditional approaches in your field? Can you create a bigger meaning behind their hiring you? Is it time to take their health and life into their own hands? Create a movement around your message and your clients will not only adopt your strategies for better living, theyll also share your work with urgency. Lesson 6: Be the message. The author writes, “Axelrod says of John Edwards 2004 presidential campaign didnt falter because of the message, which was pretty good and it got us pretty far. Instead he points to Edwards: I have a whole lot of respect for John, but at some point the candidate has to close the deal and I cant tell you why that never happened with John. Your message alone will not expand your practice. You must back it up with action, follow-through and a presence that matches. It will get people to listen to you, but from there, its all you. So invite people to work with you. Step up and say you can deliver what your potential client wants. Make a bold statement. Offer a guarantee. Do something that gets you on the court and playing to make the championships. Here’s to your expansion. Karin Witzig is the Marketing Materials Maven. The “3 C’s” to a Good Relationship

By Jodi Blackley You’ve gone through the planning. The wedding was the event of the century. You were the belle of the ball and the honeymoon was the perfect finale to the grand event. Within a matter of weeks or months, you suddenly might find yourself wondering who this person is that you married. Their mannerisms that you found cute before the wedding now seems so annoying. You might have thought she or he would change after the wedding or would automatically cater to your wants and needs. This is extremely common for newlyweds. Many couples never really sit down and talk about their needs, wants and expectations from their relationship. For some, there is a stigma around talking about your needs, as this feels selfish. For others, there is a belief that their spouse should know what their needs are, “because they love me.” Due to these misconceptions, communication begins to break down and arguments ensue, resulting in resentment. You can minimize the tension in your relationship by following the “3 C’s”: Commitment It’s important to realize that your commitment doesn’t stop with saying “I do” at the altar. You and your partner have made a vow, “until death do you part.” But what does that really mean? Well, that is going to vary from couple to couple. If you didn’t discuss this before your wedding, there’s no time like the present. What do each of you need from the relationship? What do you expect of yourself as a wife/husband? What do you expect of your spouse/partner? What expectation(s) do(es) your spouse have of you that you’re able/willing to meet? What expectation(s) do(es) your spouse have of you that you’re unable/unwilling to meet? By understanding your own expectations and those of your spouse, you will be able to work together towards making a stronger union. Also recognize that your needs may change throughout the course of your relationship. It’s safe to say that your partner will also have changes. Checking in periodically when you sense changes or stagnations throughout your relationship can help renew your commitment and discuss any changes you’re noticing. Other activities you can do to make your relationship stronger are: Plan time together every night to reconnect. Plan an outing for the 2 of you at least once a month. If you have children, plan an outing for just the 2 of you every couple of months. Communication This probably seems to be the most obvious of the “3 C’s,” but if it is so obvious, then why are so many couples arguing? Why does it feel like the same argument occurs over and over again without any resolution? Communication is the most obvious of the secrets for a good marriage, but it doesn’t mean it’s the easiest to overcome. Communication is an art. The art of listening, the art of hearing, the art of understanding. Listening doesn’t just mean the words alone. It means paying attention to your partner (listening), getting the message of what they are trying to convey (hearing) and being able to respond in a way that lets them know you got the message (understanding). If this isn’t going on between the 2 of you, arguments erupt and resentment may result. So how do we listen, hear and understand? Do not interrupt when your partner is speaking. Pay attention not only to what but (more importantly) what they’re saying, how they’re saying it, their voice, eyes, speech patterns. Once they are finished, summarize what they said. Find out if what they said matches with what you’ve heard. If not, let them clarify their meaning of their statement again. Clarify again and continue this until everything matches. Once you’ve heard the message, now acknowledge their message and respond with your own. While there are many more steps towards good communication, this will provide you with a basic idea of where to begin. Remember, disagreements are natural in any relationship. Good communication provides you an opportunity to express your opinions, ideas and beliefs openly without feeling like you have to compromise your core beliefs, thus leading to resentment, which can be harmful to any good relationship. Compromise Recognize that you are 2 different people. You have grown up in different cultures, with different experiences and beliefs. It’s these differences that drew you to one another. If you shared every thought and belief, your relationship would be boring, almost as if you were clones of one another. It’s okay to have differences of opinions as well. These opinions may result in a conflict. If you can learn to compromise, then the conflict can be resolved without feeling like either one of you are always, “giving in.” So, how do we compromise? Recognize that no one has to be right or wrong. Each person take turns in talking. Don’t talk over each other. Look at the issue from all angles. Write down all the pros/cons of the issue. Look at possible areas where each of you are willing to give without resentment. If you cannot come up with an agreement at that time, agree to put it aside with an agreement that the issue will be readdressed. If need be, set an actual time so both of you will know when you can discuss it again. 2007, Jodi Blackley, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Fullerton, California http://www.jodiblackley.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jodi_Blackley http://EzineArticles.com/?The-3-Cs-to-a-Good-Relationship&id=433003 buy ultram 50 mg ultram 0 59 order phentermine order tramadol using cod drug prescription ultram

How To Ensure That You Shine On Your Wedding Day

By Lesley-Ann Graham On your wedding day, you are expected to shine. Of course the expression isn’t meant literally, but then again…why not? Some brides don’t keep their veil on from the ceremony to the departure for the honeymoon. If you are planning to take the veil off before the reception, why not opt for a style that doesn’t have all your hair up? This will allow your guests to see how soft and shiny your hair is. Show off the glorious tresses you’ve been preparing for this special occasion. How about your nails? You can have a natural shine on them by trimming and shaping them well, finishing off by buffing your nails. On the other hand, you may want to have a more elegant look with French tips. Of course if your happy with just painting your nails neutral beige, pink or peach to polish off the look of your hands, that’s fine too. Everybody will actually be looking at your beautiful smile on this day. So you definitely want your teeth to be pearly white and not yellow. You don’t necessarily have to bleach your teeth if you don’t want to, but you definitely should brush and floss well. If you did have your teeth bleached you can help your teeth stay as beautiful as possible by staying away from food and drinks that will stain your teeth like chocolate, coffee, cola and tea.
